My name is Raul Zavala, Co-Founder of Ultra Modern Investments. I started my real estate career at 18 years old as a commercial leasing agent in Downtown Los Angeles, working alongside Donegan McCuaig, Broker of Quixotic Realty. During that time, I built a strong foundation understood how commercial assets create long-term value. Being exposed to high-volume leasing and the fast pace of the LA market pushed me to think bigger and pursue real estate investing full-time.

In 2018, I partnered with Jeru Starks to launch Ultra Modern Investments, starting our operation in the Dallas–Fort Worth market. We focused on identifying value add opportunities, building relationships with local investors, and developing systems that allowed us to operate effectively out of state.

We studied markets, met new investors, and analyzed where our business model could scale most efficiently. From that research, we expanded into Cleveland, Ohio in 2020. This move allowed us to begin building a diverse portfolio. Our goal has always been to combine strong underwriting with efficient property management and long-term vision, allowing us to consistently identify high-return opportunities while improving the communities we invest in.

Today, I specialize in acquisitions, deal structuring, private lender relationships, and building operational systems that allow Ultra Modern Investments to function in multiple states. My mission is to grow a strong, sustainable portfolio, create consistent returns for partners, and continue developing a company built on discipline, integrity, and strategic thinking.
